Emma Strömfelt

The board of Freedom Group has appointed Emma Strömfelt as the new CEO. Emma will start her position at the end of September 2023, when she succeeds the current interim CEO Niclas Miörner. At the same time, Niclas returns to his previous role as CFO.

Emma Strömfelt most recently comes from a role as interim CEO of the legal tech company Lexly. Before Lexly, Emma was Chief Digital Officer at AniCura group and before that Head of Digital Innovation at Swedbank. Emma has a master's degree in International Business Administration from Jönköping International Business School.

"I am really looking forward to taking over as CEO of Freedom Group and to work towards a bigger and stronger company together with all our employees. Freedom's business model, where strong customer relationships and entrepreneurship in the local markets are combined with a high degree of digitization, becomes the best of both worlds and enables us to help our customers win. It's fantastic to see how quickly the group has grown, which signals something about the strength of the offering we have both to our customers, but also to other companies in the industry that want to meet the opportunities and challenges of digitization.", says Emma Strömfelt.

"I am incredibly happy that Emma has chosen to lead Freedom Group on the next step in our journey. Her strong drive and burning interest in business development, digitization and entrepreneurship will be instrumental in building the platform we need to reach a market-leading position in the industry," says Henrik Rättzén, chairman Freedom Group.

The accounting firm Freedom Group, majority-owned by private equity company MVI, was formed in January 2022 with the vision of helping small businesses succeed. Today, thirteen acquisitions later, the group has an annual turnover of approximately SEK 230 million and 230 employees. Freedom Group owns and develops its proprietary softwar eBflow. The goal is to reach a market-leading position in Sweden through the acquisition of more accounting firms and organic growth.
