Treeco Group Acquires Plantskolan i Ängelholm

uttalande

Treeco Group has acquired Plantskolan i Ängelholm AB, one of Sweden’s leading independent plant nurseries. The acquisition strengthens Treeco’s position in Sweden and adds significant expertise within fruit trees and ornamental plants to the Group.

Plantskolan i Ängelholm is a Swedish plant nursery and garden retailer headquartered in Ängelholm, Skåne. Founded in 1938 as a small market garden and developed over successive generations, the company today stands as one of Sweden’s leading independent plant suppliers. The company operates its own cultivation across fruit trees, berry bushes, ornamental trees, ornamental shrubs, and avenue trees, with a market-leading assortment of over 150 varieties of fruit trees. With approximately 45 employees and revenues of SEK 85 million, Plantskolan i Ängelholm supplies plant materials to contractors, municipalities, and garden centres, and also operates a retail garden centre offering certified, Swedish-grown plants.

“After many successful years as a family business, we have reached a historic milestone. Our journey has been shaped by a strong family tradition and built on the dedication, knowledge and experience of our fantastic team. Joining Treeco Group is a natural next step that gives us the strength to develop further in the years ahead.”

— Jan-Peter Johansson, CEO and Owner, Plantskolan i Ängelholm

Jan-Peter Johansson will remain as CEO through the transition and has reinvested alongside MVI.
